Give it a try and you will start to notice you will begin to feel a lot better about yourself.
2. Embrace the future. The past is the past and we simply cannot change things from the past, regardless of how much we would love to do this. Make it a point not to beat yourself up over the past. Don’t dwell on your divorce. Begin to think about the direction you would like your life to take in the future. However, if in the future you decide you begin to have get your ex back feelings, be sure that you have fully overcome your issue of low self esteem before pursuing getting your ex back.
3. Realize and accept the fact that you do not have to be perfect. Many of us feel that we have to live up to certain expectations, essentially be perfect. This is a falsehood that should be squashed. In fact, tell yourself you are not perfect and this is perfectly OK. When you try to make yourself into that perfect person, failure becomes a likely outcome.
4. Draw support from family and friends. This has probably been one of the most, if not the most, difficult times in your life. It is not the time to isolate yourself from those close to you. Instead, embrace their comfort and support. They can be a big help to you in terms of finding yourself and overcoming low self esteem.
